Wesdale is a newly built house carefully constructed and designed to the highest standard. The house is sensitive to a cottage feel with all the internal mod-cons of a perfect get away haven. The house is situated in a quiet residential area of Hillside Road, Stromness. It is near to the bus stop, swimming pool, football pitch, supermarket and only ten minutes walk to the town centre.

Access to the house is gained through a private driveway to a parking area with garage at the side of the house.

Beautifully finished to a high standard, Wesdale has high ceilings with black slate floors and under floor heating throughout.

The modern but traditional open plan living room has a 42” flat screen TV mounted above the large marble mantel piece surround.

The open plan kitchen has a large dining area for 6 and is fully fitted with stainless steel and silver appliances, fridge freezer, wine cooler, electric hob, oven and microwave etc. A connecting utility room has separate washing machine and tumble dryer with lots of extra storage space.

The large hall is the gateway to the three bedrooms, two double, one twin all with wardrobes, drawer units and flat screen DVD combi tv’s with built in Freeview.

The house has 2 bathrooms. The first has one large Jacuzzi bath and steam resistant TV to give the ultimate soak after a long day experience, as well as a power shower.

The second bathroom has all the usual amenities plus a large shower with wall mounted mirror with internal light.

Outdoor patio area with table and chairs which creates the ideal suntrap for afternoon/early evening relaxing.

The changeover day is a Saturday. To allow us time to prepare the house for incoming guests, arrivals should be from 2 p.m. and please vacate the house by 10 a.m. on departure day.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is to be paid on confirmation of booking, with the balance required one month prior to the booked date.

Directions to Wesdale

To get to Wesdale, Hillside Road, Stromness, KW16 3AH:

  • Take a right from the ferry, along the Ferry Road.
  • Left at the roundabout, and then a right up Hillside Road.
  • You will pass the back of the Swimming Pool.
  • (Pass only two houses on your left) then,
  • Turn left up a lane at the first lamppost on your left.
  • Wesdale is the second cottage on the right with a gravel drive and a garage at the back.
